*“HEAVEN’S PLAN SUPERSEDES OUR OWN”*

There is a saying “Heaven’s plan supersedes our own” and “Heaven is watching over every move of ours.”  As long as you have planted a cause, you are bound to receive its retribution.  Our heart is like the internal memory of a Microsoft computer.  All of our kind and evil deeds will be stored in this computer and will keep accumulating.  In the process of accumulation, some of which will enter our Eighth Consciousness, and these are incapable of being erased.

*How To Change Our Fixed Karma Created From Our Good And Bad Karmic Deeds*

Caller: Master, please enlighten us: Is fixed karma referring to our bad karmic debts?

Master Jun Hong Lu: No, it is not. Fixed karma arises from both our good and bad karmic deeds. The good and bad deeds created by you in the past will form the fixed karma in your present life, thus the karma is fixed. Therefore, the Dharma we are practising presently will change our fixed karmic debts and eliminate them. Fixed karma can also be changed when you have accumulated merits from a lot of good deeds you performed every year. The merits gained will gradually help to change your fixed karmic emergence. For example, if you are a bad person, you will have to do good deeds every day to make others aware that you are changing for the better and gradually accept you as a good person.

Caller: When the fixed karmic debts are transformed into good karma, will the fixed karma be changed completely? Will some fixed karmic debts be left behind to turn into retribution effects?

Master Jun Hong Lu: All if possible, if not, it will take its effect eventually.

*RECITATION OF MANTRA IN SILENT MAY CAUSE DISORDER OF BLOOD IN THE LONG RUN*

Caller: Master Lu, you mentioned previously that we may recite mantra in our heart if the surrounding energy field is not conducive. For example, if a person works in a hospital and always performs recitation in silent, it may be harmful to the blood over a long period of time. Is there any solution to this?

Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes, you may recite softly during the day. Besides, you may release your breath as an alternative to making sounds while reciting.

Caller: Yes.

Master Jun Hong Lu: Don’t keep your mouth shut tightly when performing recitation as that will certainly cause harm to your blood.

*GOOD FORTUNE WILL COME AROUND AFTER KARMIC OBSTACLES ARE ELIMINATED*

Master Jun Hong Lu: Let me tell you, as long as we kneel before Guan Yin Bodhisattva and think that, “I am a Bodhisattva who cultivates Buddhism” and immediately repent for the many past misdeeds we had committed, whether those of now or before, Bodhisattva will bless us and help us clear away these karmic obstacles, expediting the elimination of our negative karma. And, as soon as the karmic obstacles are eliminated, our good fortune will then come around.

*DREAM OF PUTTING ON SHOES WITHOUT SOCKS*

Caller: I dreamed of being in a hurry to attend Master Lu’s Dharma Convention where I put on my boots without putting on any socks.

Master Jun Hong Lu: This could mean that in your course of cultivation, at times, you may have handled something inappropriately or you have not sought to be exhaustive in your effort. You may have been putting in your best effort, but at times it is still not perfect.

Caller: I understand.

*EVIL THOUGHT IS THE CAUSE OF THE CREATION OF KARMA; APPLY THE BUDDHISM TEACHING OF "HAVING NO THOUGHT"; SHOULD ANY THOUGHT ARISE, IT SHOULD ONLY BE KIND IN NATURE*

Master Jun Hong Lu: Do bear in mind that, our evil thought is the cause of karma creation. It is from this thought that leads us to our bodily action and verbal karma.

As such, it is important that we learn the Buddhism teaching of “having no thoughts”. If you can be in a state of "having no thoughts”, then no karma shall be created. Should you have any thoughts, then you must ensure that it is kind in nature and that what comes up must be positive. Then, you are saved from committing any evil deeds. There are some who holds evil thoughts which leads them to create bad karma.

Creating karma is equivalent to sowing a cause. At times, we wonder, how is that this person’s karmic force so intense? It is due to the fact that he is creating evil causes for himself incessantly.
