*PERFORM PROSTRATIONS DAILY TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH BODHISATTVA*
It says, “All prayers shall be answered” – as such, how can we deny the sentiments of Bodhisattva? It’s just that, they are not those inordinate sentiments of the Human Realm, but Buddha's compassion. It is a concept of a love, so vast and with no boundaries. So, you would need to perform prostrations every day to get acquainted with Bodhisattva.
That is why I taught all of you – during prostration, when you lift your head to look at Bodhisattva, set your eyes on the face. When you lower your head, close your eyes; and once again when you lift your head, gaze at Bodhisattva’s face. You will have to make Bodhisattva recognise you so that when you go to Heaven one day, at a glance Guan Yin Bodhisattva will immediately recognise you; which country and the place you come from.

*TOUCH THE HEART OF OTHERS*
As Dharma practitioners, we should touch the heart of others through our deeds and our words - just like the taintless dew that nourishes the heart of others. To do so shows that our words and behaviour are adept to that of Bodhisattva’s; as we are touching and changing them through our compassion.

*A PERSON’S REACTION TO _EIGHTY-EIGHT BUDDHAS GREAT REPENTANCE_*
*RECITATION DIFFERS WITH VARIANT DEGREE OF KARMIC OBSTACLES*
Caller: Why there are some who recite many times of *_Eighty-eight Buddhas Great Repentance_* without the slightest reaction, while there are others who will start feeling uncomfortable and having dreams of many karmic creditors when they recite slightly more?
Master Jun Hong Lu: When a person’s karmic obstacle is heavy, need we say more? To quote you a simple example, for a person who is free from any debts, when he says, “in future, should I owe others money, I will surely be a good paymaster”. In this case there is no one to demand any repayment, naturally he will feel comfortable.
On the contrary, when a person faces a group of creditors demanding payments, even when he has just recited a few times saying, “I will be repaying my debts”. “Bang!” a group of creditors will dash forward. With this, for sure he will feel uncomfortable. This explains it.
Caller: For the second scenario, it is not advisable for them to recite more, and they would have to take it slowly?
Master Jun Hong Lu: That’s right.
Caller: The moment they “over-recite”, they will not be able to manage.
Master Jun Hong Lu: That’s for sure.

*_CULTIVATING THE DHARMA INAPPROPRIATELY AND CONTRACTED CANCER, - ONE NEEDS TO REPENT, AND CAUSING ANOTHER PERSON TO WITHDRAW FROM HIS CULTIVATION WILL CONTRIVE A HEAVIER NEGATIVE KARMA_*
Caller: Master Lu, a practitioner who appeared very diligent in his cultivation has been diagnosed with cancer. In reality, the cause is due to his improper relationships and handling of financial matters. If this practitioner did not repent and disclose his inappropriate actions resulting in other practitioners being misled and creating a sense of uncertainties, will this practitioner create a greater negative karma for himself? Please enlighten us, Master Lu.
Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes, the karma will be greater. He must disclose it himself since he has already been diagnosed with cancer. He can say: “I have committed many inappropriate activities.” He does not have to disclose the details, just simply say: “I know I have done many improper things. Everyone, please remember that Bodhisattva will not mistreat us, we bear our own karma. I may be very diligent today but my karma is very heavy, therefore, I am facing my karmic eruption. I hope everyone here will be even more diligent in your cultivation.” This way, he will not create further karma but will gain merits as well. However, if he does not repent and instead says, “I am very fine, why should I develop cancer?” He will have to bear the consequences if he caused anyone to withdraw from cultivation. He is bluffing and telling lies. He won’t be able to go up to the heavenly realm. He might as well be diagnosed with cancer and repent soonest possible; I have failed Bodhisattva… I will share my experience and help others when I recovered. These will create merits.
Caller: I understand now. Really, we cannot allow others to retract, he must share his part. Take it as a lesson learnt.
Master Jun Hong Lu: What is the use of bluffing? You are lying to people but you cannot deceive Bodhisattva or the devil. I have come to the end of my speech. The biggest event when a person departs from this world is at his memorial service; where all the speeches made about him are good without faults to the point that he was born pure as gold and never made any mistakes. Regardless of how good you have been praised and a few thousand people may come to bid you farewell. No matter how well others treated you, in reality, this is the human realm and after you have passed on, you will still have to bear your own karmic debts. What is the use of having a grand memorial service?
