Some facts......

1Q2011 Admin Expenses $523kk
2Q2011 Admin Expenses $519kk
3Q2011 Admin Expenses $609kk
4Q2011 Admin Expenses $3284kk

4Q2011 vs 3Q2011(5x)......seems like headcount did not increase by a lot during the year.....15th months bonus? just a guess

Based on AR 2010, the remuneration of Lee Fee Huang and Lee Sze Hao were:
S$750K to S$1,000K

Whereas on AR 2011 are:
Lee Fee Huang $1,500K to S$1,750K
Lee Sze Hao S$1,250K to 1,500K

Hence, their remuneration increased by about 100%. However, our dividend only increase from 0.75cent to 1 cent i.e. 33%.

Look like they are good at surprise themselves Sad Sad

In AR 2011, Note 12 "Investment in Subsidiaries"

An impairment loss of 5$5.86 millions (2010: S$2.636 millions) when the management performed an impairment test for the investment in Sing Development (private) Limited.

Question: Why is there an impairment for a Dormant subsidiary? Will there be any more impairment?

Anyone knows what is happening??

Thank you.
Let me guess,

In the chairman's Message: "Approx. S$476.5 million will be progressively recognized as revenue over the next 2 financial years. TOP for this development in 3Q 2013"
OR
"Construction of the new development, at Robin is expected to commence in 2013"
No lah, take out last year annual report, see the top 20 shareholders list and compare with this year one! See if you can find out who has accumulated loads Big Grin
no matter how you see the company, it is not mature yet to unlock the value as The Laurels is not TOP yet and most of its cash is still locked in project account.

from the distribution of shares, it seems not difficult for minority shareholders to "revolt" and force the major shareholders and owners to unlock the value. The Lee family only controls a bit over 1/3 of the company.

it will be interesting to see how it will develop when The Laurels TOPs.
in SGX, we need shareholder activists or corporate raiders(last time) to help minority shareholders and enhance the valuation.

haha.

where is Gordon Gekko in SGX?
".....If you have more lots, then you have to eat more ....."

If I observe the buffet table, I will be able to identify who are the major shareholders?
For those holding 10 lots, how to gulp down 10 plates? Later got indigestion.
