Sing Holdings' management are kinda confident that there will be a revision if not they would have launch the Robin site already. The 4th(last) plot of land in Robin was bought more than a year ago.....Dec 2011. Anyway currently the plot ratio of the site is 1.4. Punggol EC plot is 3.5 if I am not wrong.

With increased population, govt trying to find more 'land'. Personally I think it is 'stupid' if sites near MRT has a low plot ratio while those far from the MRT has a higher plot ratio. That meant people will have to take transport to get to MRT which meant more vehicle traffic and jam.....

one minus for robin site in getting a revision is that it is a private land but then govt can still make money from development charges

To support this larger population, we need to (a) reclaim additional land; (b) develop some of our reserve land; © intensify new developments; and (d) recycle land with lower intensity uses such as old industrial areas (General Magnetic Building in Toa Payoh?.....pray hard...hee hee) and some golf courses to achieve higher land productivity.

Well said bro,
Guaranteed site near MRT station within 1 km they will revise the plot ratio whether it 2.8, 3.0 or 3.5 depends on the new master-plan guideline which we are still waiting, of course exclude those site near airport, e.g. Expo mrt station..

To do a 'naked' short on the shares of a high-quality company like Sing Holdings is obviously a dangerous thing to do. We have to bear in mind that a big portion of the shares are already held by well-funded longer-term investors, and the intrinsic value of the share is still substantially higher than today's closing price of $0.49 - my own estimate is close to $0.70.

perhaps a bonus issue that boss lee mentioned at the agm is the catalyst to unlocking the value in this unloved company

The intrinsic value of Tuan Sing is much higher than Sing Holdings yet its trading at a bigger discount than Sing holdings!Tongue
SingHldg has been trading above its upward sloping 20-Day Moving Average which is a good sign. In addition, the price just broke the resistance of 0.45 reinforcing the bullishness in the recent price movement. This breakout was accompanied by a higher than average traded volume which shows the enthusiasm of the traders to push the price higher and past this resistance hence giving a higher probability of a successful breakout.
