Does any1 know if philip brokerage has any link to any of the top 20 shareholder or affiliation to penguin. Otherwise my gut feel is many ppl at Philips are shorting this stock

If you check their annual report, you will find below info:

Shares held by Phillip Securities Pte Ltd for Mr. Jeffrey Hing Yih Peir 120,000,649

I wonder if this can help you....
I dony think its by Jeffrey as he will need to disclose any trades. So it is probably other people shorting.
So do the people at philips know something we don't?? Like a potentially dilutive upcoming placement, warrant or rights issue? Or are they just profit taking??

I would not try to speculate every time there's selling, if the value and fundamentals have not changed, no reason to worry if insiders are selling just because price is downwards.

If it is indeed Philips who are shorting and given the fact that borrowed scripts from CDP was not drawn down, it means somehow they are "borrowing scripts" to short and likely from the shares Jeffery Hing has with them.

To me, this set of info is useful as I am trying to accumulate more shares. If Philips is indeed shorting and using Jeffery's share as ammo, I will be less gung ho in my purchases. I prefer to buy the shares at lower prices and not at 0.25/0.255 level since there is a big sell queue. I like as much MOS for my purchases. Secondly, I know this shorting cannot persist until March next year, as the shareholding statistics has to be consolidated. Thus, I know the opponent in my game cannot suppress the fundamentals of the company for an indefinite time, only 6 months; they have a time constraint while I do not

The underlying assumption I have made in this exercise is: A group of sellers from Philips is moving this shares on the absence of any news. I may be wrong in this fact as there may be insider news known to some or that the fundamental has deteriorated but yet unknown to the public
Shorting a counter like Penguin just based on the fact that the share price has gone up a lot, and there is liquidity and volume of shares one can borrow, may turn out to be a dangerous bet for the sellers. Penguin is a special and well-managed business that is destined to grow further under the current management. It is now running at a rate of producing FCF of approx. $0.05/year with the potential of a further improvement, and Penguin based on its growth potential is a potential acquisition target too.
Reached 0.245 just now. I would find it weird if this price weakness continues, as this would mean market is valuing this counter at prices seen before the receng earnings release, which was a positive set of results.

Will pick up more if it continues to drop. But we should also stay on the cautious side.

What happen to your "delicious" price conviction when I first sounded the caution..so don't be swayed by market irrational market behaviour if your belief in the company fundamentals is strong.

TA - MA turning up
I will continue to hold my last batch for the final mkt rally

Agree with you on this. To me, the price is still attractive if the fundamentals have not changed. But there are always unknown knowns, which is why like what you said, caution must be exercised when necessary.
Don't worry too much.

The price will always reflect the fundamentals in the long term! Cool
