Q4 Financials Guesstimate
Revenue: $41.5m (Full year $138.6m)
Net Profit: $4.8m (Full year $18.8m)

Dividend: $0.0175 per share, 2.5% yield roughly at $0.71.

Perhaps a special dividend to reward shareholders?

NP for FY19 could exceed $18.8m, as first 3Q's already $13.9m and recent quarterly NP numbers on fast rising trend. Recent quarterly FCF numbers showing even stronger rising trend. This positive trajectory looks like continuing into 2020 and beyond. Let's hope management will provide a guidance in the coming result announcement. About dividends, the more the merrier of course!

Quite near to what I expected if I can say so myself.

Here’s an article about the patrol boats. Great job Penguin in getting the contract in Australia when there is such a dominant player there itself!

And as mentioned in Point 10 on the SGX Announcement, the Shipyard is currently building a variety of high-speed vessels for ship owners in Southeast Asia, Australia, North Asia and even Europe.  Smile

Looks like Penguin is in for another fantastic year in 2020.
I believe this is the first time ever Penguin's Management and BOD have issued such positive statements on its markets and business, extracted from the latest result announcement released last evening..

"Penguin’s core shipbuilding and crewboat chartering activities are continuing to pick up amidst rising
demand in new and existing markets.
Penguin Shipyard recently added offshore windfarm Crew Transfer Vessels (WindFlex-27) to its internally
funded build-for-stock programme, which currently comprises security boats (Flex Fighter), crewboats (Flex42X) and passenger ferries (Flex Ferry X).
The outlook for FY2020 remains positive for the Group’s key shipbuilding market segments, namely crew
transfer vessels for offshore wind, armoured security vessels for maritime protection, crewboats for oil and
gas personnel transfers, and passenger ferries for tourism and public transport.
In line with market demand, the Group is continuing its fleet renewal programme by adding new crewboats
built in-house to its operating fleet under Pelican Offshore.
As always, Penguin will continue to manage its cash flow and business conservatively as it works to secure
new shipbuilding projects and vessel charters going forwards."

But there are points which need to be improved:

(1) Be more generous to share the profit with shareholders; early per share is almost 9 cents but they give only 1.75 cents as dividend.  Really very very stinge ..
(2) Stop the bleeding of forex loss ... for the past few years, they have "consistently losing money of more than half a million Sing dollar a year through forex loss".  They should look for suitable professional to replace the current CFO;
(3) They are quite reluctant to share information information of their new contracts etc with shareholders;
(4) They cannot even report their annual statement as early as other listed company.  Multi billion dollar company like Keppel and etc have an early fixed date to release their results; but Penguin (a mosquitoe co) will always be among the last to report results.
The latest windfarm vessel to be delivered by Penguin!

Is there a need to scare fellow readers this way? The fact remains that Penguin has survived the last oil plunge and emerged much stronger now, both financially and as a more diversified group business, including a solid charter fleet generating steady/growing income and a world-class aluminium boat building business backed a few proven/promising own boat models and increasing new boat orders of other boats.
