Penguin has just launched yet another new variant - the Flex Fighter - to its industry-standard Flex-40 Series crew boats…..
http://www.penguin.com.sg/vessel-specs/flex-fighter/

The Flex Fighter is supposedly the WORLD’S FIRST weaponised crewboat (weapons not included) fitted with strategically positioned ballistic panels and machine guns mountings, and customised with cabins and amenities for security personnel, plus OPTIONAL Flex Fighter extras such as night vision devices, gunner shields, ballistic glass and even bullet proof vests, capable of providing reliable 24/7 protection for personnel and property offshore. Solid man!

One new variance to improve its product line-up. It is an important strategy of the company.

The Flext Fighter is filling in a void of its offering IIRC. No similar one in the existing products, right?

Understand from a previous post that Penguin's boats are made using Aluminum. Does that make good Fighter?
In 2013, we rolled out two new crewboat models, the Flex-25 and Flex-50.
These will be joined by the all-new Flex-40 Series and the Flex Ferry in 2014.
The Flex-25 was delivered at the end of last year, after clocking a top speed of more than 30 knots at an official sea trial. The first two units have been sold to an African owner for use as offshore crew transfer vessels.

The Flex-50 underwent a successful sea trial last December, which saw the 50-metre FSIV hit speeds of more than 25 knots with 150 tons of deadweight. In Dynamic Positioning mode, the Flex-50 maintained excellent station-keeping, even in rough seas. The first Flex-50, christened “Pelican Victory”, will join our Pelican fleet in early 2014.

Over the years, we have built up a reputation for designing and building crewboats that are well optimised, versatile, reliable and reasonably priced.
That is why we are getting more and more repeat and multiple purchases, from Asia to Africa.

According to the just updated homepage, Penguin has recently launched its first of three Flex Ferries a month ahead of schedule…..

I guess there should be positive impact on both revenue and profits in Q3..
Demand for Penguin shares is particularly strong this morning today - supposedly a weak market day in view of a sharp correction in NY last night and a Friday - and it looks like some parties are taking on reasonable long positions in anticipation of the coming Q2 results expected by 14Aug14..
Penguin has just released a set of solid Q2 profit numbers - including a NP of $9.836m from continuing operations, which is approx. 40% higher than Q1's at NP at $7.031m - together with a rock-solid B/S as at 30Jun14…..

Such superb financial results are great music to my ears, and I am sure many shareholders would be jumping high and low with joy!
