Good evening kbl,

FYI, the deletion wasn't done by me or other moderators, but by Profeszor himself.

40.8m shares done so far today (as at 12:33pm), and Penguin is now trading at a record high price level of $0.22! Quite clearly, some big investors or funds are involved now!
Seem to be the case bro, let's all huat together Smile
Penguin closed at another new high of $0.23 today (21May14). In the last 10 months (i.e. since mid-Jul13), this counter has risen from the $0.08 level, by close to 190% so far. Against the STI, Penguin has out-performed the overall SG blue-chip market segment by some 180% in the last 12 months since mid-May13…..

By just looking at the share price chart, Penguin's ascent during the last 10 months has been a rock-solid pattern with a steady upward trend. Quite clearly, this depicts the case of the emergence of a very high-quality business, backed by Mr Market having spoken in its favour - loud and clear!
As far as I know, there is no broker covering this gem, and I wonder why? Maybe they are quietly trying to acquire a meaningful stake before issuing a report.

With Q1'14 net profit already forming 44% of FY'13 net profit, and with the continue strength in the offshore OSV market plus its oncoming expanded capacity to capture this opportunity, FY'14 looks set to be another good year. EPS will likely be more than 3c this year. Assuming 10X PE, which is the valuation given by some brokers to Nam Cheong, Penguin should trade above $0.30c.

I do also wonder why no broker covering this stock, with popularity of O&M sector Big Grin

The company business is on crewboat, rather on OSV, IIRC. The growth of the company business seems just started, and more will come, IMO.

The business model is sustainable, with its builder-owner-operator roles. The continue improvement of Flexes lineup also make the company a default choice for crewboat.

Some who attend the AGM mention that the management did not wish to divulge too much information for fear of competition. It could be analyst wanted to cover and visit this company but the management didnt talk much. So end up analyst nothing to write so they gave up. Smile

OSV is just a generic name. We should understand that Penguin's crewboat is not just for ferrying of crews, it can also be used to carry supplies or even to fight fire/pirates etc. It is quite versatile. Penguin name its bigger boat (those 50 meters and above) FSIV, but in essence, they are all OSV.
Does anyone know if there is any difference in standards? I was wondering if the term osv has some maritime standards to meet that crew boats do not need to
