Singapore currently falls within the DORSCON yellow category , according to MOH, meaning that the coronavirus situation should cause minimal disruption to normal life.

While Singapore has implemented some of the measures categorised under DORSCON Orange, such as quarantines and temperature screenings, the current situation is still considered at Yellow

I thought MOH already announced DORSCON Orange? and subsequent panic and run on grocery shops?

Black swan is here and next GFC is gonna be triggered in China. Virus just getting started in Wuhan and will start spreading fast in rest of China, especially big cities Beijing Shanghai soon, despite lockdown of almost 2/3 of the population. official numbers already show >300 in Beijing and almost 300 in Shanghai confirmed cases, which means they have local clusters now spreading. Quarantine will only slow the spread of the virus but ultimately like flu containment is FUTILE.

It will take a couple more months to go through the population of China, then other major populations in Europe/Americas/Africa.

Get ready guys, Hedge with gold ETF  or just wait for the easy pickings in a months time ;D

Japan 2.0 akan datang for sure this time round.

I am not aware of any HK DORSCON ( Disease Outbreak Response System Condition)

So Singapore seems more advance in disease outbreak management or DORSCON system may be owned by SG Govt.

Under DORSCON Orange, the virus is severe and spreads easily from person to person, However, there is no widespread transmission in Singapore and the virus is being contained.

Under DORSCON Orange, additional precautionary measures will be introduced to minimize the risk of further transmission of the virus, and raise the protection of vulnerable groups, which includes canceling or deferring large-scale events, or put in place necessary precautions if proceeding; daily health checks at workplaces, and enhanced business continuity capability plans.

Based on that, a prevalence of 5% equates to about 500,000 cumulative infections. That’s many times more than the 14,982 cases provincial health authorities had counted in Wuhan as of 8 p.m. Saturday.
