Er... ex CEO or ex Chairman? Tongue
I sincerely hope that this thread is not in the process of being politicised, with some of us being led as pawns to complete that process...
It'd definitely dampen my happiness here...Tongue

Of course, he happens to be one of them.
Towkay must have done all his calculations correctly to get the "cash" + the company. In America, Towkay maybe termed a "Corporate Raider". Tio Boh?
To tell you the truth i had traded "F&N" a few cycles. But this time, i gave it a miss because i did not get the price i wanted to buy though i were eyeballing it all the time. By the time it became an "Hot Item" because of Towkay, it was too late for me. i don't go after "HOT ITEM" in general.

Yes Sir, Big Grin let's back track

CIMB report, TP S$7.75 ex cash distribution (or $11.03), rating Outperform.

FNN’s 2Q13 saw 17% yoy core EPS growth, thanks to its F&B and property units. Many overseas development projects will be completed to underpin a stronger 2H13. FNN has also announced that it will return S$4.73bn in cash to shareholders via capital reduction. 2H13 core earnings formed 39% of our and consensus’s full-year estimate. We deem this as in line given the stronger anticipated 2H. We maintain our core EPS estimates and target price on 20% discount to its property RNAV. Our pro forma SOP estimate after the cash distributions is S$7.75. We estimate investors will be getting its property business at an implied discount to RNAV of 43%. Maintain Outperform.

Can't be help. This is public forum. So you can see all sorts. So some person or persons with dichotomous mentality will think they are only the people contributing. If you differ from their dichotomous thinking, you are only ants or leeches coming here to waste their time. Sad! i really don't understand what makes them think everyone must follow their style of thinking about investments.
Quote:If only they will read more about "ENRON" case, then perhaps hopefully, they will be more humble.
Maybe i should give one example of dichotomous thinking (i may be guilty too in some other thoughts).
Like some of them think investments and politics should be under dichotomous items. But in actual facts, the political climate of a country or the world greatly influence the the investment market's climate. No?Cool
Today is the 1st trading day after the SGX Annc of HY results (div 3.5ct) + Proposal of Capital Reduction ($3.28). For the Capital Reduction, it has to be approved in an EGM (date not fixed), so, there's no 100% certainty.

Today's figures for future reference / studies,

Open @ $9.07
Close @ $9.08, +$0.20
Last done $9.14 @ 5pm
Range : $9.07 to $9.21
Vol : 4,959,000

My guess is prices will be volatile (good for traders) for a while and then likely to trend lower when EGM date is closer. The results of EGM will determine the next price direction. Will be watching and learning till then... In the meantime, I'll maintain radio silence, send myself to the freezer to maintain peace here... Good Luck to all! Tongue

IMO, EGM will be held ASAP, probably by end of May. I don't foresee any issue for the approval of EGM, but we never know. Big Grin

Assume bought at $8, and sold at $9.08, the gross profit is $1.08, absolute return of 13.5% in 3 weeks time, or annualized is more than 8x...

Not too bad for a punt Big Grin
