Crazy or not wait till 2015/16, then you shall know. Maybe the fabulous 60% will still support no matter what the MIW Sh**. Or by that time new citizens voted out the old citizens.
gone off the deep end already even risking divorcement with the people.

This will just push more and more people away, even those elitist traditionally pro-pap will they want to share what little bit remaining of this patch of heaven with ever more strangers? Even I can understand that ... gone off the rails leow these people Tongue

Facebook page "Say No to overpopulation"
White paper mention the need to have 7 mil by 2030 to support declining and greying population. Did the white paper mention by 2050 the population will decrease back to 5 mil? Because by that time i (one of the grey ones) will be gone so no need so much population to support greying population right?
During National conversation few weeks ago , many expressed unhappiness over too many foreigners and they said they will slow down on this. Now they said 6.9 m.

A white paper is an authoritative report or guide helping readers to understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision.

So we should keep hush hush, don't talk about it, slowly import and then voila.. my honest mistake??

It is a credit that the gov rolls out this white paper. Right or wrong, do or not do, everyone can decide. Not happy, 2016 is only 3 years away. Worst case of 60,000 new citizens and in 2017, the ruling party, non PAP, can drive all FTs away.

Ageing population is a stark reality. No matter how much you dislike PAP, it will happen.
Grumbling about their past records in population policy makes you feel better but will not help in anything.
How to solve it or should we solve it, you can always make your vote count in 2016.

In fact, I am more interested in the responses of the opposition parties towards this white paper.
The population is a result of the environment. You put a few guppies into a home aquarium and with sufficient food they reproduce. If the water quality becomes bad they die. Overcrowding is an issue. If you add more guppies into the tank, the faster they will die. When survival becomes the priority, reproduction disappears. Clean the water, move them into a bigger tank, etc...life goes back to normal.

The solution to the population problem: Work the environment.

And then you ask yourself. Why do you want so many guppies? Isn't a nice aquarium what you really wanted? Ah...you can go into the business of selling guppies (read: GDP - Guppies, Dummies and Politicians).

We should give nature a chance as it has always meant to be. Instead the ruling party has added more and more stress for everyone and high cost of living and at the end of day still ask how come still no baby leh - siao bo? Tongue

I explain on behalf of pappies which might be wrong.

"The guppies have been entertaining my son for a few years. I notice they about to reach their lifespan and i want my son to be happy and continued entertained by guppies. So i bought the same number of guppies and put them into the tank. The water fouled faster and too bad the old guppies died possible earlier. The water slowly turns better after the old guppies died. So now i have new young and healthy guppies and which can entertain my son for some years before i repeat the process."
