I do not follow Keppel and semb corp and South East Asia o&g developments too much but I would assume that most of the manufacturing activities of offshore o&g equipment would be located nearer to the customer e.g. Brazil and there are not much offshore activity in this region. Please correct me if I am wrong.

hupsteel has extensive network. not nec steel must be in nethyal warehouse.
u try google thong seng metal and u shd find the links.

u probably need to look back many years back ago AR
i recall attending those routine suntec investment fair many moons ago back in '03-05, back then, one ang moh speaker highlighted how smart hup seng huat was, able to partition their large warehouse into many pieces for rental/or something..
those were the sweet old times..i recall it was like subsequently sold , or divest. ty no more rental income..it was the time before the massive bonus issue took place

Yes, you are rite on that.

the current neythal road is being used for quite some time already.

hup seng huat had an old one, i think u were referring to at benoi road or nearby.

in addition for those interested,
at one time, decades ago, 6 kim chuan was being used to store their metal, then maybe because of far distance to the shipping yard, they shifted it to jurong area. the last to my knowledge was a paper pulp boss who rented that site.

I agree with u, hup seng huat management was very smart in moving their stuff and profiting in the process.

but later on, there was some china guys who claimed kin to old lim and wanted a share of hupsteel founder assets...dunno how it ended. any idea, pianist?
looks like alot of history in this baby.
i have no further clue.
it seems like the strongest peak/heyday for hupsteel is in the last decade.
the best now lim can do seems to be buying back shares..hehe

hi bibi, its sad if wat u said is true. anyway most of the points abt hup seng huat has been mentioned. we just have to sit tight n observe the next few quarters earnings.
for me, i think i accumulated enough hup seng huat. i started my next "project" of analysing my next company to buy.

No lah, i am just joking over here. I have not sold any of HupSteel shares. Cash rich now, years of operational history. Good dividends when times are good. One wont lost money over this over the longer term.
