I also don't think there's going to be any collapse in china economy. First of all what credit bubbles are you referring to? Today there's no way for china to raise credit like the way US and Japan issue treasury bonds - there's no china treasury bonds to speak of, and if there are no bonds in existence how will anything go toxic? Big Grin

Real estate market may crash but just like any other country property market crash but I don't think it will lead to total collapse. Consider that most PRC commoners earn around 1000-2000 rmb /mth thats around S$400 where they will ever have money to buy 2 million dollar condo and be affected by property crashes Tongue
its hard to time the market, but warren buffett says
when investors are fearful, its time to be greedy ^^

As for property bubble, this is an interesting piece which illustrates quite well the risk.

On value buddies no point to fear monger as everyone buys stock they feel is undervalued or valueable and we buy up more on crash / corrections. In fact most valuebuddies would hope for something like a Black Swan. Fear in the market is actually a wonderland of value for us Cool
That high debt to GDP is their domestic debt bah, Singapore in 2012 also have high debt to GDP over 100% means we also going total collapse later izzit? Tongue

The way china now controls their credit is by mandate to increase / decrease the amount of reserves in chinese banks and that is how they tighten or soften their credit markets. Big Grin

which are already seeing them do ever so now and then for several years already means they are actively managing this.
what is fear monger ?

Hi felix,

Fish monger is the fellow who sells fish in the wet market...
so Fear monger sells fear...
and Value monger sells value...

One of my grand-dad actually was a fish monger Tongue
haha~ ok now I get it haha thanks
actualli this time pull-back, i dun seem to feel any fear element at all, myself and surrounding.
Don't think will get fire-sale prices.. I guess this is probably just a good time to size up current portfolio positions.

Just this forum alone, everybody is already waiting to buy more.

Yes, i agree with dzwm87, most of our VB's buddies are buying, while other forums' members are saying bye to stocks...Big Grin

A gauge from magazine's articles, news reports and various online discussions, it is still far from panic IMO
