came home and saw my watchlist reits all dropped a lot, all 2-5% drop
any news?

Ya..tis morn all green green..started falling v fast afternoon..only related news i can find is in bloomberg, euro side worried cos US str8 economic data, speculate Fed may decrease rate of printing...knn..all these speculation are trimming my profit like no tomorrow...

Then there is Germany unemployment data..also much worse than expected..mayb market scare Euro crisis rearing its head again...

Not just REITS, basically the whole market. See if there will be a repeat of Jun 2012.

Not just REITS, basically the whole market. See if there will be a repeat of Jun 2012.

not the whole market.

Singtel alone contributed most of the drop.

If interest rate rises, guess which sector will be hit the hardest? I believe most already knew the answer.

Most of the moves in the market have rational behind it.
if interest rates go up
companies that are highly geared will be in deep trouble

reits and telcos often are geared up quite significantly, GG

Sad week for REITS investors. Total loss of around 10%+/-.
