Tech companies come and go.

Some stay in the business longer than others, but none has been able to continue their winning streak.

If apple isn't going to be the innovator of the 'next big thing' in the smart phone market, its fate will not be too different from RIM, Nokia, and dozens of other phone manufacturers; plunging earnings followed by share price.

My wish of getting cheap iPhone in near future vanish...Tongue

If similar "innovations" continue with iPad, soon iPad will reach its next tipping point of popularity and stickiness IMO

Toilet training iPad accessory announced at CES

LAS VEGAS - A toilet training iPad accessory for babies, the iPotty, has been announced at CES.

CTA Digital say they hope the iPotty will help with toilet training by allowing children to watch videos or play games on their iPads while using the toilet. The iPotty comes with a clip-on cover to transform the potty for a child to use as a seat and a cover to protect the iPad from damage (iPad not included), it is expected to retail for £25 (S$49) when it goes on sale in March, the Daily Telegraph reported.

IPhone is never a luxury product, maybe 5 years ago, it was close due to scarcity not price. but it is always affordable to tens of millions of Chinese(maybe hundreds of millions). A cheap IPhone is unnecessary, because there is big enough market for IPhone already. But whether they will buy IPhone or not, is the catch. A lot of Chinese buy IPhone is not because it is better, more like others can't have it. It is not true anymore (as there are enough IPhone owners in China already just like in Singapore a year or two ago, everywhere you see, people were playing with IPhone) and the sale of IPhone is China will stall, or probably decline even.

I agree a cheap IPhone is unnecessary due to its the popularity and market size. I don't agree that the sales of IPhone in China will stall, or even decline, as I don't think IPhone ownership there reaches saturation point already Big Grin

Apple still has room to grow, just that it wouldn't grow as fast as before
It's becoming a slow grower but still a decent blue chip ^^
