While son procrastinates dividends, accumulated on the shares due to the dad, go to who?
Quote:taking into account the present state of relations between the parties, [he] is uncomfortable making any representation to SIC that the parties are acting in concert in respect of [the Company], particularly as the parties may not share, amongst others, the same vision, direction or management for [the Company]"

my thought is that all the legal/share transfer are nothing but smoke. The heart of the problem is that the father and son do not share the same vision, direction or management for the company. Thus, the father probably took legal action to force his son to accept his vision/direction/management?

I hope the family does not take Viz Branz private as Viz Branz will be worth a lot more in the many years to come.

my speculation only.
I like to think that CKP wants to continue growing the empire, especially in China. CBB wants to sell it. Clash. CBB probably wont want to blow up the matter excessively and will comply with CKP's requests in time to come. Not good for CBB's reputation as well.
If dividend is still in dispute on the 15% shares, why would the father agree to payment of the latest dividend?? Defies logic...

Any idea who is the driving force behind the business? It seems from annual report the son takes care of SEA. So father takes care of china? And the profit is mainly from china!
Dividend payment was probably agreed by the board as a whole.
Viz Branz's share price continues to advance this morning (9Mar12) and has hit $0.375, up $0.02. This is $0.005 above the last done 'CD' price - cum the $0.02/share 3rd-Interim dividend - of $0.37 recoded on 7Mar12. It is indeed quite rare to find a counter which exhibits this kind of price movement!

While I believe Viz Branz at the current share price level remains substantially below its corresponding fair intrinsic value, I really wonder the real motivation of those who bought the shares quite aggressively in the last few market.
Viz Branz is quite actively traded with its low public float and past trading history. hit 0.38 and still going strong, even after ex-dividend of 2 cents.

Is someone recognizing Viz Branz's value and actively realizing it?

Based on Viz Branz's last done (2Mar12) share price of $0.365 and latest 355.0m outstanding issued shares, market cap. now stands at $129.6m. When I compare this number against Viz Branz's current annual revenue of aprox. $182.4m (2x of 1H-FY11's $91.175m) and NP of approx. $18.6m (2x of 1H-FY11's $9.275m), I feel this is still quite an acute under-pricing situation by Mr Market. The derived current-year PER of approx. 7x is simply still too low for an established FMCG business which is growing its revenue steadily at a rate of approx. 10%p.a. and its NP at an even faster rate. IMHO, a current-year PER of 10x appears more appropriate.

A comparison with Super Group or other companies engaged in similar lines of business may throw out some useful pointers on my above guess.

This morning (13Mar12), Viz Branz has quite convincingly crossed the $0.40 mark, and the last done (11:23:31 hr) was at $0.41. Based on the latest 355.0m outstanding issued shares, Viz Branz now commands a higher market cap. of $145.55m - equivalent to a still humble current-year PER of approx. 7.8x.
