div of 17.5S$ , 5% div for per shr price of 35c, not bad, 2105 will be a great year for Samudera.
Aiyoh those big boys really out to catch contra players.....

Today is due date for those people who bought last Wednesday (Last Tuesday night result came out. Last Friday is a holiday) hence due date today. No money you got to sell......sighhhhh

Might be a good time to nimble.....since volume dies down after last Wednesday
Time to close one eyes and go in. At 28 it is more than 6% yield and trading at 0.4nta. And 1q earnings is already us6m vs us14m last year. So probably higher earnings for this year hence higher dividend and yield. And we know know certain assets that the company owns is at cost so price to nta is below 0.4.
I just picked up some at 27.5 cents but not sure if it is a right decision though Smile Smile.

The drop is in samudera share price might be partly because of the recent increase in oil prices and will result in higher bunker price as well as cyclical nature of shipping industry.

However, based on the latest Q1FY2015, the net gearing of samudera reduces further to 27.5%, with NTA of 60 cents after deducting the div payment and pb of 0.45x and positive free cash flow of usd 18 to 37 mil for the past 3 years and patmi of usd 6.1 mil or eps of 1.5 sing cents. Samudera is worth a punt.

Besides Yeo Seng Chong of Yeoman capital is vested in samudera, one of the savvy full time investors, Ang Hao Yao is recently appeared in top 20 shareholders with 2,188,800 shares or 0.41%.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is Ang Hao Yao?

There is a short introduction of him on the nextinsight link provided in my post.

cheers
If I am not wrong, Daiwa sold about 600 lots last Tuesday at 31 and around 3m shares last Wednesday. Kim Eng securities sold some shares on Wednesday and last Thursday. Not sure if both sides are working together....

The sell down on last Tuesday from 35 to closing 29 cents (1.875 cents dividend) on Wednesday might have cause a margin call by Thursday. The seller probably anticipate higher volume on last Thursday due to shares bought a week ago right after the interim result announcements

Anyway if you tally the sales done by Daiwa, then one likely scenario is one of the top shareholders has sold down. If not probably Daiwa will have to buy back later. Daiwa bought some shares on Monday though......

Hmmm....talking rubbish in the early morning.......^^
