With 355 lots transacted at a last price of $0.245, it appears that there are plenty who think that the recent Preferential Offering was a chance to earn some coffee money. At a price near its NAV, I reckon this stock, although supported by many points of 'merit', is not for those who are new to it and should wait for a dip to accumulate, if interested.

Bearing in mind Zagro Asia is fully capable to deliver an EPS of approx. $0.038 a year (FY11: $0.0376; FY10: $0.0372), NAV/share as at 30Jun12 could well hit $0.29 when the company releases its 1H-FY12 results expected by 14Aug12.

I noted that today's (6Aug12) transactions totalling only 377 lots were done in an orderly fashion; so as expected the Preferential Offering did not attract many traders. But as usual there are always investors who choose to take a short-term trading view when they buy stocks, and I guess these people will take their own exit or get 'flushed out' after some time. I also noted at closing today, the unfilled 'buy' queue shows more buyers queuing at lower prices ($0.23 - 0.24) than sellers queuing at higher prices. This to me is a good-enough sign!

Fully agree with your posting of earlier this evening dydx - thank you,

Looking at the average traded price of Zagro's share price during the CTO period it was as near-as-darn-it S$ 0.275. Arithmetically, this CTO corresponds almost exactly with todays' S$ 0.245 closing price (after taking into account the 32-for-100-at-S$0.15 offer) the first trading day Zagro is XTO. We'll see how things develop vis-a-vis Zagro's share price in the coming weeks, particularly after the 1H results announcement next week.

With reference to psolhawk's message of this late afternoon, I agree that Zagro is in a niche sector and its business will not be familiar to everyone (it took me quite some reading several years ago and I don't pretend to know all the Company's ins & outs today)........ but I would recommend that Zagro's track record over the years speaks for itself, and positively so. And - personally speaking - I believe that the fact it is a niche company is a positive.

Does anyone know how this temporary trading counter work? I understand from announcement today that it is not = unit share trading provided by the brokerages.
does it mean same commission charge?

Temporary trading counter
The Company has applied for and obtained the approval of the SGX-ST for the
establishment of a temporary trading counter to facilitate the trading of Shares in board lots of 20 Shares (the “Temporary Trading Counter”), in addition to the existing board lot size of 1,000 Shares. The Temporary Trading Counter will be made available for a period of one (1) month commencing on 31 August 2012, the first market day after the Offered Shares have been credited to the Securities Accounts of Entitled Shareholders who have validly accepted their provisional allocations of Offered Shares, or such other date as the Directors deem appropriate (the “Effective Period”). An announcement on the cessation of the Temporary Trading Counter will be made via SGXNET in due course.

Zagro requested a trading halt before the opening of trading on the SGX today, 31st August. I wonder if this is something to do with the Skopini-Zuellig process ................. or something else??!!

For other counters that provided temporary odd lot trading, they never requested for trading halt. May be this time is different. Or another hor say liao ?

After the Skopini-Zuellig process, the controlling shareholder is supposed to launch a general offer at $0.15, as his interest in the Company increases to 58%.
