When the special dividend from SAH is announced, dont expect to get at this price level Smile

May I know why it was assumed that the proceeds from the sale will be distributed as special dividends? How come I get the feeling that it is certain that New Toyo will distribute the proceeds to shareholders?

We are one step closer to the payout of sales proceed from SAH and hence New Toyo Smile
Pls see latest announcement .
If you look at the balance sheets of both New Toyo and Tien Wah (54% owned by New Toyo), their borrowings have come down significantly from a year ago and will continue to be pared down because of the very strong cashflow from core operations.. Smile

I not so sure why directors not collecting NEW TOYO shares in market if they know they are going to distribute big pay out to shldrs. In the case of Guthrie Substantial shldrs Mamasang has been buying continuously.

I noted in 2010 report they have indicated that SAH deal if it goes thru will result in a BIG payout to shldrs? If they are man of their words, it should be happening....

Then again it sure beat bank or CPF interest...1.8cts even at this price.. So much of monetary policy in Spore!!

You have stated that the following:
"I noted in 2010 report they have indicated that SAH deal if it goes thru will result in a BIG payout to shldrs? If they are man of their words, it should be happening...."
I suppose "they" refers to New Toyo.

The text on asset sales by Shanghai Asia in page 6 of New Toyo's 2010 annual report reads:
"If the transaction announced by our associated company, Shanghai Asia Holdings Limited, on 25 th October 2010 regarding the sale of its entire business andassets does proceed, this would result in a significant cash payout to the Company."
There is no indication that the significant cash payout that New Toyo will receive from Shanghai Asia will in turn be paid out to shareholders of New Toyo.
But I think the likelihood of a reasonable payout is high as New Toyo's bank borrowings are modest.

You're right, there is no mentioned to shldrs. But the director have been consistently giving good dividend and it would be no surprise that they will give a fair deal to shldrs. Just look at the recent run on this 3 good egs. Investors are indeed searching for yields like crazy!! STX, Guthrie, recent run on UE EC.

what more is coming?

I believe I see a trend of trolling in this thread. Although this is a public forum, I learnt that whatever mentioned here does not improve the share performance in the actual market (see the case of San Teh)
