i read some funds and even co. looking to invest back into retail properties/REITS... they deem this downturn as an opportunity and is itchy fingers to buy in at the low leh... Big Grin

worth a consideration?
1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

I suppose funds engaged in stock/sector picking would have some views on this, but I do not place much emphasis on specific stock picks or price gyrations so can't really comment on this. From a portfolio management perspective, my exposure to retail properties is already too high to warrant any additions at this stage.

My overall view on this stays that it neither compelling to buy nor sell if you are holding on to a Singapore concentric portfolio.

Actually I haven't followed their prices or sold any retail REIT units for many years since I bought into them in the earlier days; will probably end up keeping them for a long long time until something fundamental really changes. I have been focusing on deploying new money into other areas and geographies for the past few years, not even aware they were sold down recently until you told me actually.  Tongue
