Analysts recommendations are for you to buy, for them to sell and for you to "hold the baby" when the price drops. Well at least thats my opinion of them.

Don't own a single one and so far my picks are averaging div yield >5%

Anyone else 0/5 ? Big Grin

3/5 for me. Although my holdings in all 3 are fairly small.

Scored 2/5. I am vested in both OCBC (largest component in my cash portfolio) and Singtel (only counter using SRS).

Sheng siong strikes me as odd one out. I applaud their capability to cut costs and grow in a competitive environment, but I find it hard to be assured of its growth plans moving forward.

IMO, the odd one would be OCBC.

Why did a DBS analyst recommend a rival bank......Huh

DBS Vickers is part of DBS Group and hence they cannot put a recommendation on their parent group and limiting them to recommend the other 2 rival banks. Likewise OCBC Securities and UOB KH have the same restrictions...
