Well, personally I guess I am plain lazy..
Unable to finish even 1/4 of the financial books I have..

I also find that there is a term known as "financial garbage" ...
Recent S-chip scandals also showed that financial statement should not be taken at face value...
Too much information or mis-information also affects the judgement of the company..

Hence, I am mainly looking at REITS with stable dividend yield (i.e. Yield Investing) and growth companies in industry I am familiar with or easy to comprehend...

At the end of the day, one should be comfortable with the counters they hold and to have the belief in your own judgement of the value of the counters...

Patience is very important as well...

With patience and belief, you can wait till Mr Market recognise the value of the counters you hold...

Of course, the meaning of belief differs from one person to another..

Some prefer to do a lot of homework and analyse a lot of financial models to strengthen their belief...
Some prefer GUT FEEL... Just wanna hoot big big..

End of the day, one should be comfortable with their exposure to the counters they hold...

Just my 0.005 cents worth...
