If hire China chinese, just state: Minimum 5 year experience (but offer only 3.3k if a Sporean shows interest), how many Sporeans will take up this job?

Such are the fine prints that are hard to fault. Good examples. I must add that most HR people just want to serve their master and get collect salary.
Nevertheless, I believe the companies will overcome the inconvenience and innovate.

Why need to worry for the employers ? If they are not smart , why they are employers not employees ? If EPs and S pass are still plentiful , this policy is as good as another wayang.

Smart employers will make businesses thrive. Smart + wicked employers may do things to beat the rules. The laws and regulations should be reviewed constantly. For any business man will surely want to hire foreigners, because there are plentiful of dirt cheap labours around the world and having lowest possible wage cost will improve the profit statement.

Singaporeans have LL too long already. Hope many more of them have the guts to wake up and do something for themselves if not for their children's children. Dirt cheap labours will always be around. And with super low cost air transport, Singapore can import 100s, 1000s even reaching millions now. NO?

Just like investing, nobody going to look after your interest and your money like his own. You better believe it. Nobody.

Think recently I read an employment report that mentioned the recent employment of foreigners had dropped, and the employment of locals had increased over the latest period. So this might be a good sign.

Govt way of executing policy is step by step. With long lead time for compliance. After that, will enforce to 'kill chicken to scare monkeys'.

And SG Gov/SGX/MAS all works on 'complaint-based' regime. No complaints. No investigations. E.g. Police where got time to actively catch crooks/share manipulators/gold scheme. If no one complaints, no one do anything. Civil servants where got so free. Got time also go Cordon Bleu to learn cooking...haha...

So Singaporeans must KP constructively to the right channels. NO KP no action done. Thats the way of life.

But PRs also classified as locals not foreigners under their employment statistic . So whatever figures they tell us is as good as null and void.

Ha! Ha!
Well put!
But must REMEMBER KPKB can only do so much. You still have other choice. So far nothing changes much though i must admit slowly , very slowly, there are a little changes we can beginning to see. i hope Singaporeans continue to KPKB what they really want until GOV really take notice. (But remember there is another very important choice you can exercise every five years).

Hey! what the GOV does or don't affect our livelihood. No?
That means our INVESTMENTS man! In fact it's everything man.
That's why it's important to pay attention to politics of a country, you want to invest in.
What's more the country you are living in.
Example what's happening to our transport system now?
It's a hot political potato to handle man. No?
Then Woman lol!

This thread might not worth to continue. The topic is already well-covered and discussed. It will soon turn into a grouching site, or it already has.

The thread will be closed. Thanks
