Hi, I will like to find out if anyone here has harnessed any benefits from being a top 20 shareholder in a company you are deeply vested in? For e.g. being able to communicate with the management directly etcetra. Is this a given privilege?

not to my experience. i been on top 20 shareholder on some co b4.
initially was expecting to be invited to their d n d. but nothing.
thereafter, gave up such silly hopes.
i think unless u become ssh ie own >5%, otherwise no diff.

Even 5% also no diff, more reports to be done on buy or sell under by-law.

If you own more 5%, do u get to become one of the board of directors?
