Why call yourself a 'Bluechipfan' ?
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

No particular reason. Just that I like bluechips better than other stocks. It doesn't mean I only buy bluechips though I wish that's the case.

The only saving grace, if any, is that the acquisition is yield accretive

I bought this and Silverlake because I like dividend paying stocks. I made a mistake because I bought this much more than Silverlake. Bought this from 1.1x and bought more at 1.005 and now the price is 1.01. Bought Silverlake from .88 now 1.27. Well...

I am generally quite happy with Sabana. Bought in at $0.89 long ago.

The stock could have done better, saw it go up to over $1.20 and then now down to barely $1. Generally, I now prefer to hold really long term, unless fundamentals have deteriorated beyond hope.

Warren Buffett gave good advice about buying when others are fearful and selling when others get greedy. That helps provide a comfortable moat and buffer against stock price movements.
