The Asia growth stocks index is now trading at 17.3 times 12-month forward earnings, compared with its historical average of 13.7, the most expensive since the global financial crisis in 2009.
 
While the high multiples are a salient feature of many growth stocks, whose earnings are expected to rise faster than their industry or market average, fund managers caution investors against overlooking value stocks that usually trade at a lower price than their fundamentals suggest they should.
 
Indeed, the value index is significantly cheaper, at 10.1 times earnings, below its average of 10.6 times. The broader MSCI Asia ex-Japan benchmark is trading at 12.7 times earnings. 
 
Where does BWI stand relative to the big picture?
 
Current share price = SGD 1.60 (post-bonus)
Current share price = SGD 2.00 (pre-bonus)
1H2016 EPS = SGD 0.065 (pre-bonus)
FY2016 projected EPS = 2 x 1H2016 EPS = SGD 0.121 (pre-bonus)
Forward PE = 2.00 / 0.121 = 16.5
 
16.5 times is less than the Asia growth index earning multiple of 17.3
16.5 times is dirt cheap compared to 268 times (Ctrip.com)
 
16.5 times is more expensive than the value index (10.1 times).
 
Compared with the cheapest: Korea Electric Power (015760.KS), priced at 4.34 times earnings, and Chinese Chongqing Changan Automobile (200625.SZ), at 4.43 times, it is more expensive.
 
Taking into consideration the growth potential (especially from the China market), BWI could still be a relatively “cheaper” stock, if not the “cheapest”, as measured by PEG ratio.

Interesting to note that this group of Taiwanese distributor “正式向中國市場進軍了”.

They had a "福州交流會" in August and is currently building a “福州教育中心” scheduled to be opened in October.

Wondering when would a DS license be granted for Fuzhou. Nevertheless, this is a positive development....................

The bi-monthly bulletin (Oct/Nov 2016) of BWL Taiwan is out.

“Disappointedly”, there was no disclosure of 3Q2016 (or 9M2016) Taiwan revenue this time – have to wait for the official 3Q2016 results announcement in Nov then – ha-ha!
 
Nevertheless, this bulletin is still a good read as it summarizes the development and progress of the Taiwanese market over the past 10 years…………………
 
Some interesting points worth noting are:
 
1) There were many attributing factors to the success in Taiwan but success did not happen overnight.
2) Online APP would be introduced in Nov 2016
3) Current “monthly” membership is growing at “yearly rates of earlier years”.
4) More than 70% of members are below 35 years old.
5) The fourth three years (2016-2018) is deemed by D2 to be a rapid growth phase.
6) They are still aiming (or dreaming) to achieve revenue of TWD 10,000 million in 2020.
 
In short, it appears to me that the Taiwan market is still going strong……………….

It appears to me that your Chinese is pretty good.

I could be wrong, but here is my interpretation.

On the background:

"Over exaggerating on efficacy of product's functions" by distributors" is the original key issue. This was reflected in Medpartner's first article.
How credible were their evidences and supports? I don't know.............

One thing leads to another..............more issues surfaced...........................slandering......defamation.....threaten to sue....etc  

What does it means:

Potentially, risk No:1 could materialise.......................

From page 32 of AR2015: 

The top 5 risks the company faces are identified below: 
1) Advertisements that over promise product efficacy
Distributors sometimes exaggerate the uses of our products, leading to regulatory intervention.Warnings or penalties might be issued to the company, causing reputation damage or monetary losses, affecting our profitability.The company only publishes product attributes that can be supported for each product on our website.Through trainings and interactions, we also remind our distributors not to over exaggerate about the product's efficacy and keep to the proven functions.
