Oh yes, i had been to Hokkaido. If you ask me what is most impressive of the Japanese i would say the way they maintain the cleanliness of their toilets. Even the public toilets at any places full of tourists. i take my hat to their cleanliness and their public spirit of co-operation in using them "properly".
