The best gift you can give to your parents is not to rely on them, the best gift your parents can give you is not to rely on you.

Unquote
Assuming it's the truth, but how to get rich first?
Then how to stay wealthy by capital preservation?

First stay focus to get rich. eg. Focus in only a few stocks, just need to hit one multi-bagger..... basically, "Kiasu and chiong"

Then diversify to remain rich. eg, start spreading out your investment across different asset classes out to protect against any downside.....basically "Kiasi and don't anyhow chiong"

It is only when the rich are sick that they fully feel the impotence of wealth.

In China or Indonesia, the impotence of wealth is shown when you are asked for a bribe. Thats why the rich loves Singapore. Wealth loves law and order.

No one can escape the impotence of wealth no matter how rich you are.

Even KING SOLOMON said,
"Vanity of vanities in this world, vanity of vanities; all that I and my father David have laboured for, all is vanity!''
And
""Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom; in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be"

So do remember your spiritual aspects of life.
Less you think you don't have a spirit.
Shalom
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

no lah, impotence - refers to ineffective

the quote means if you of poor health how much your money also cannot buy you back your good health thats why they say health is true wealth.

But wealth doesn't give good health, those with money usually give in to temptation and vices live with excess because they can afford to do so, in their youth eat too much good food, drink too much and play too hard when they reach old age all the years of accumulated excess show up as problems - diabetes, cancer

while lying on the sick bed what can wealth do?

Ya lol, almost all of us think with wealth, we can have anything we want. Wealth is all powerful until we are drawing our last breath then we realised all the wealth we have accumulated is no use to us now.

Alas, at my age, i still find i can not quit leh. i wish i can. Actually i can if i lower down my normal living standard to 50 %. Or i go and live in "TIMBUKTOO". Or i know when is my last breath.
Assuming, i can know or do any one of what i say above, what about the people around me?
Besides if i can quit the market, how to find a new replacement to stimulate my mind? Proud Mary? No lah, no joke. Maybe cocaine? i like the song COCAINE by Eric Clapton. Song only Hoh!
