If I am not wrong it should be 6.6% hike.

Another 3.4% is being "rolled over to the 2014 fare review exercise and added to the 2014 fare adjustment quantum which would be finalised around April 2014."

well GE is in 2016 so no hikes ard that period - so better amortise all the increment that is needed and spread it over the 3 years before the GE...

3.2% is for last year, 3.4% this year
so total is 6.6% hike

last year no hike due to the fare review process
so this time one shot do it for both years

3.2% is the confirmed increase for year 2013. The remaining 3.4% will be carried forward into the 2014 Fare review exercise (together with year 2014's CPI , EI, Wage index , figures will be up in April) to come out with another round of increment for 2014-2015. 3.4% is not the increment slated for 2014.

Hence, isn't it misleading and inaccurate for the G to say there was no fare hike for 2013? As the gist of the matter is the approval of fare hikes. Blush

They really proved many wrong of thinking they would only increase fares after 2016.

Isn't it true, no fare hike for 2013, but in Apr 2014?

In other words G cannot claim there was no fare hike in 2013, because it was merely delayed to this year. Hence, sneaky. Sad
