TTJ's one seems not bad to me. Seems that he prioritises margin over revenue, increases dividend. Didn't lose focus (everyone wants to become capitaland these days). Even the dorm investments yields good returns without tyingup that much capital. And he is cautious about taking on jobs overseas. And I think the board not filled with people of the same surname (yet?)...I have never met him so all this is juz what I felt from reading up on the company...

In my short investing timeframe, i have slowly come to realize that as long as i focus on not losing money by keeping within my circle of competence, i will end up with the results i want. I guess that is the paradox of how to win a losers' game.

WB's number one rule did not simply come as head knowledge, but through the self realization that the script did run as it claimed. That said, after conquering 1 foot hurdles, it gets boring and one has his/her eyes on that 2 foot hurdle now..

However, that still means that you may end up with inferior investment result.
You will not end up losing money, but you may not end up getting the results you want.
Another round of sifting through the companies is still require.

I suppose you still need to cross the > than 7 hurdles eventually.
