Recently, SGX changed the document format for "Change of Interest" announcements in accordance to MAS rules. These documents are "Dynamic XFA" PDF forms, and don't work well with many PDF viewers.

I've tried many viewers, and have yet to find one that will work well on iPhone/iPad and Android. Adobe's own reader on these platforms don't open them correctly as well.

Does anyone know a solution? Thx!

Not to my knowledge. As I don't use Adobe Reader as my default pdf viewer, it is quite a hassle even to read it on my desktop.

I have written to the SGX webmaster team. They have acknowledged receipt and said they will address the matter. I don't put such hopes too high.

i had this issue but solved it on my machine.

1) firstly, download the pdf file and check if u can open it standalone using ur reader. If u can open it standalone, then it is a problem of a reader plugin in ur browser (go to step 2 then). if u cannot open it as standalone then there's something wrong with your reader software.

2) go to your brower and type "about:plugins" in the url space (ignore the inverted commas). then check whether the plugin for your reader (most probably adobe reader) is enabled. in my case the adobe flash was enabled and for some reason the reader was disenabled hence causing the issue.

Thx all. Yep, I got the "Please wait..." message.

I'm looking for a solution on iOS and Android. On Windows, I've found that Acrobat and Foxit readers work fine (but none others).

Actually, all that SGX needs to do is to require companies to print their PDF form to a new PDF file (via a PDF print driver). This will create a flatten PDF that will open in all viewers, and simplify life for all. Even better if they can extract out the form data, and put it in the HTML announcement like the "Daily share buyback" notice.

SGX does not think there is any reason to please its customers since they will still come back every weekday.

So far, I can read the pdf by:

1) Downloading the pdf and using Abode Reader XI to read the file; or
2) Read the file directly using IE version 9.0.8112.16421

AlphaQuant's suggestion works well. Now I can read it off my Chrome browser directly without saving it and reading it separately. And I also do not need to change my default pdf reader to Adobe.
