Latest Kim Eng Research on Metro - quite obvious that they have not spoken to mgt. More like secondary research as they are suggesting that Metro undertakes a capital reduction just like what any value investors would suggest.

Have the 6 cents dividend and the deep discount to its NAV being factored-in in the present share price ? Believe unless Metro has more surprised announcements down the road, otherwise S/P will be hovering at this level.

Hi good observation you made about Metro Holdings. Read the article and saw that the writer mentioned using sources from Bloomberg and DMG. I did some checking on my own and the 3 databases i use reflect p/b ratio of 0.59-0.62. Though the stock price dates they used were different.

It is heartening to know that people do question and not just follow/listen to what other people write. Kudos to you.Smile

Besides, Metro there are also Elec &Eltek (0.1), China MinZhong Food Corp (0.3), OSIM International (0.3), Swiber Holdings (0.4). Based on the footnote, it said Bloomberg, DMG and Partners Research Estimates.

As for Metro, based on the DMG report on 4th April 2012 the Price to Book is 0.5. Hence, they any how whack one lah!!

Among the recommended stocks, personally I like Elec&Eltek which has a good dividend yield. Lastest Q1 NAV was US$2.07 with the market price of US$2.63, the price to book should be around 1.27x.

perhaps, they're trying to mislead the uncles and unties Smile Smile
