Now we have 2 Challenge stores at AMK hub. Its kind of odd, isn't it?

Not vested.

The company is definitely in the transitional phase, to determine the next growth path. There is very likely a major change in the Valore strategy.

Hopefully the management will share the direction for its next phase when they announce the FY results.

We had this discussion on Valore 8 months ago. Kudos to mgt ability to cut loss quick but the lease on these shops will likely eat into their margins due to redundancies like in AMK hub. 2 similar shops does not mean double revenue but rather SSS likely to drop. Suspect restructuring coming and probably inventory write down of Valore stocks

I bought their powerbank and there is no mention of Challenger on their logo or anywhere on their powerbank.

One think to note is that they are following Apple's "Designed in California" concept. For Valore, it is imprinted "Designed in Singapore"

I'm not sure I understand that the usual consumer will not be able to link Creative products and Creative Stores? How is this not telling the world that Valore is Challenger?

Back to my original question: I don't understand why they need to link Valore and Challenger together in the first place to fulfill their strategy. They should just have a Valore store and see how it goes, without collateral damage of branding with Challenger if things doesn't work out.

It might be too early to conclude. Let's see the detail from next financial report.

IMO, Valore concept store might be scrapped, but Valore product might still stay. Well, it is just another speculation.

Yup they should have just test with Valore products for longer time and not store. Not saying that Valore product will disappear but the inventory overhang is obvious from a store to a shelve.

A yet-to-be-verified observation. The online store of Challenger might be doing well to push Valore product, much better than the physical stores.

(vested, and I might be wrong on the observation)

Could PIC been a sales driver for the past 2 years? If so, it could be some overhang. I have seen friends who purchase computers from Challenger just utilizing the PIC scheme.

I am guessing, Next, Challenger will go into High-Tech wearable products, think google glasses and WIFI wearable clothings, RFID luggage bags etcs...

Or branch out into High-Tech F&B market, expensive ice creams...etc..

Since they already got the shop-space, WHY NOT?! Big Grin
