Implement COE for liquor loh. Maybe it will go higher than cars.

It's easy to realise that the whole problem occurs because there are too many people of the same race, same mindset congregated in one place (The Asch conformity experiment: http://psychology.about.com/od/classicps...ormity.htm). With the effect of alcohol, it is no wonder that things can go wrong but why not Clarke Quay and Boat Quay? The simple answer is that in Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, there is a diverse range of people of different nationalities and thus, there is no such "concentration". It is too diverse to result in such a riot.

In psychology, there are some explanations to this form of behaviour (See above link). As for why the policeman runs away, let's not be too quick to judge. Two police officer would not be able to overcome a group of 400 rioters with the same mindset. They are just getting themselves into trouble if they try to stop the rioting. I would think the policeman has done the right thing by running off and asking for reinforcement. We are talking about 400 people, not 2 to 5 people.

Perhaps the ban should apply to all and not only to little india. And Angmos should be treated similar, all under the cat FT. i walk pass Clarke quay and see many Ang Mos behaving a bit like drunken. Its a matter of time that things may happen there. Hope their review include all areas and tackle the problem altogether.

70% drunk 30% conscious? They are generally good fellas, from my encounters with them at the hdb upgrading. But i have also observed their supervisors shouting at them and some supervisors behave like holligans. Hope there is some agencies taking care of their welfare and their rights.

Well, as our leaders have said this is a one-off case. Severe punishment will be given to deter future occurence. They should be right. In the movie Hunger Game, how the capital arm forces suppress and beat up those who want to go against the capital.
