Impact: Two possible 1-5 minute brief interruptions or possibly high latency periods when we drop and reconnect one of our provider uplinks.
Reason: During the above maintenance one of our providers will be upgrading their routing equipment for expanded capacity. During this upgrade we will be disabling the uplink and later re-enabling which may cause a brief interruption in service (1-5) minutes while all network routes reconverge.

Sometimes when I visit, the forum greets me as "nsengkia" which is obviously wrong. Other times it identifies me correctly. I have no idea what is going on, but it's clearly a bug. It's affecting me again, I have to log out twice (first time it says there's an error, second time works) then log back in. The error message is:

Your user ID could not be verified to log you out. This may have been because a malicious Javascript was attempting to log you out automatically. If you intended to log out, please click the Log Out button at the top menu.

If you are using Internet Explorer, try to delete the cookies :
Tools>Internet Options>Delete Cookies

Let's see if this solves the problem.

how about creating a facebook page for valuebuddies, use it as a notice board, when the forum is down, we can all see the updates there at fb?

Bug report:

I often find that when I am logged in, the latest posts in a thread are missing. But when I log out, I can see that there are new posts and can read them. When I log back in, these posts go missing. Some time later they do show up. I don't know why there is a delay but there should not be one. This is obvious in the China Minzhong thread. I am running Opera 12.16 under Windows XP SP3, sometimes under Windows 7 (different machines).

Just a suggestion, possible to show the posts that are unread if members logged in?

Like nextinsight, I will be directed to the unread posts in the thread, right now when I open a thread, it will show me the latest page, but there might be several posts in the previous thread not read.
