Mont Botanik is now confirmed launching in August 2018. This is a new freehold condominium by Tuan Sing Holdings, in the Hillview / Jalan Remaja area in Upper Bukit Timah.
This is a lovely place if you are looking for peace and greenery, and don't mind having to walk 15 minutes to the nearest MRT station. It is a mainly residential area, and next to a landed housing estate that has been around for eons. There are lots of parks and nature reserves around the Mont Botanik Residence location, including the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, so its great for those who are into hiking or biking along nature trails on weekends.
The project will comprise 2 blocks housing 108 units. Not much choice of unit types though. There will be 2 bedroom, 2 + Study and 3 + Study unit types. But the floor plan layouts are pretty good. Quiet spacious living / dining areas compared to most other new launches, and encloseable kitchens for even the 2 bedroom units. Quite good finishes too - compressed marble flooring for the living / dining areas, and Burmese teak timber flooring for the bedrooms.
The two blocks in the development are linked together by communal sky gardens, which makes it less of the usual boring building blocks elsewhere. The Mont Botanik showflat will possibly open for viewing appointments from 18 August. Below is an artist's impression of what the project will look like.
If you are not really keen on the Hillview / Upper Bukit Timah area, there are other options to look at. If you prefer freehold projects, you can consider The Hyde at Balmoral (with a price tag to match, it don't come cheap). If not, Mayfair Gardens further down Bukit Timah Road will be an option if you prefer low-rise developments. And Woodleigh Residences at Woodleigh MRT station had previously indicated that they will be launching in September this year. And we still have plenty of units at the Tre Ver that just launched last weekend, or at Riverfront Residences if you have budget constraints. So lots of choices.
