Hong Fok... Mmm... any particular reasons you brought into HF? knowing how their management works? Big Grin
1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

Hi Brattzz, Thanks for the comments. The reason why HF was bought into was due to its balance sheets of assets which I have calculated to be more than its share price currently. i Don't really go into the management but seems like after reading comments in valuebuddies, this may be a value trap. Looks like I will need to put in moire effort in this aspect.

Btw this is my updated portfolio with ETFs and some small speculations.

The percentage has changed quite a bit from last update e.g. Hong Fok from previous ~28% to ~3%? A major injection of capital recently, I guess...

1st post just put in my stocks. Never put in the etf that I own sleeping somewhere in my passive investing account. Thus the change.

Did a rebalancing due to issues which happened in the past 2 weeks. Standard Chartered Bank was closing down its institution equities and as I did not really understand what it meant, I was panicking as almost 80% of my holdings were in SCB. Then came the swiss central bank with its removal of the 1.2 floor to the euro which made the currency markets really volatile. Decided to sell some of my holdings and move to cash as I was not really prepared for the volatility.

Although both events did not hit me, it made me realize that i was not ready for this volatility.

1. SPDR gold 34.6%
2. Ishares Silver 8.6%
3. SGS 30 year bond 37.76%
4. Powermatic data system 10.12%
5. LTC corp 3.98%
6. Hong Fok 4.94%

Thanks man. Thought I could handle the volatility but was wrong about myself. Back to the reset button. Lucky I escaped unscathed. Will take this time off to really think of what should be my style.
