Is there really a difference which auditor is used?

Why not go for the lowest cost provider?

The perception of a big 4 auditors indicates the numbers are more reliable. However it does not translate to totally no fraud, or scam after a big 4 auditor is appointed.

They have to change auditors since it is Co Act requirement.

Wow, 10 years indeed very long.

Anyway, good to have a different opinion.

I don't suppose it might make a difference for a Singapore-based company and business?

Spend more to eat well or exercise does not mean won't get stroke or cancer, but it lowers the probability

If a company is purely locally based, probably getting an international audit firm is not much value add.

Colex's profit for HY2017 is about 900k lower, which is due to government grants decreasing by that same amount. Cashflow continues to be healthy.

Colex 1H2017 revenue drops slightly. "The decrease from the waste disposal segment was mainly due to contracts renewed at lower rate and reduction in monthly refuse fees for the public waste collection segment as stipulated by National Environment Agency from 1 April 2017". This contradicts what NEA early announced - the monthly refuse fees increase 10% from Jan 2017.

Anyone knows why?

A review seems to be done in April 2017. But it was not announced. Maybe the rates from us to NEA remains. But the rates from NEA to Colex reduces since it only do most waste collection and not recycling.

Trying to do an indepth study... I could be wrong.
