Pardon my newbie question.

I still don't get it, how do you find out the individual transactions that have taken place? I'm using DBS Vickers, but I don't know how to go about finding this info.

Thanks!

I was actually, trying to place a trade at that time on poems and copied it from Poems. Am not sure about DBS Vickers, have never used that, somebody with DBS Vickers experience can help

I encourage you to do your own independent "due diligence" on any idea that I write about, because I could be and probably am wrong.

Nothing written here is an invitation to buy or sell any particular stock.

At most, I am handing out an educated guess as to what the markets may do.

The market will always find a new way to make a fool out of me (and maybe, even you!).

Even the best strategies of the past fail, sometimes spectacularly, when you least expect it.

I am not immune to that, so please understand that any past success of mine will probably be followed by failures

You can use the Quadviewer function in DBSV Online to see market depth information for up to 4 counters at a time. Hope this helps.

I am sure most vb here read cw8888's blog posts.

I had done up a analysis of what cw8888 was referring to in a post below here.

The post also has a link to the specific STI ETF post of CW8888, in case you want to refresh your memory

^^ I guess for good results with index funds, it is better to do dollar averaging so that you can take advantage of the troughs.

Speak of the devil...I was just about to share this research piece on using DCA on STI ETF. Smile Oh btw, this is not an advertisement for any course despite the title. Wink

FYI...

SPDR STI ETF the most active ETF month-to-date
04 Mar 2016 16:50
By Kelly Tay

THE SPDR Straits Times Index (STI) ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund) was the most active ETF in the month-to-date, and the second-most active year-to-date.

This reflected the recovery in Singapore stocks, said the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on Friday in a report.

Since SPH got kick out of the STI in June, it is probably apt to see which other long time residents will potentially be kicked out in the coming review (Sept 2020).

Basically looking at the current market cap of the 30 STI constituents, the next 3 companies in danger of getting kicked out would be CDG, SATS and Semb Industries (around 3 billion market cap each)
https://api2.sgx.com/sites/default/files...020_FA.pdf (pg 8/9)

Semb Industries is in real danger with the eventual spin off (or capital reduction) of Sembcorp Marine making sure that it will lose another ~20% of market cap. In the coming reviews, the STI will probably get more "tech savy" with Keppel DC REIT entering the index?

Hi Weijian,

You were right in terms of the addition of Keppel DC REIT.

I guess that Sembcorp Industries is still likely to be the next to go out when the next review happens.
