Both OUE-H Trust and OUE-COM Reit trading halted today, due to proposal to 'merge'. In effect, the C-Reit is proposing to buy out the H-Trust stapled stapled security holders for cash (minor) and (mostly) new C-Reit units.

Based on last traded prices, I calculate this would value each stapled security at 74.7c, slightly higher than last traded of 73.5c. Significant increase in NAV, as C-Reit was trading at a large discount to NAV whereas H-Trust was at only a small discount to NAV.

So some pluses, but I chose to invest in the H-Trust; suddenly i am faced with a large part of my investment changing to effectively being based on the C-Reit, which i had not chosen. Am thinking whether I want to continue with this investment when trading resumes.

OUE group and its Indonesian companies have been shuffling assets lately.
This is yet part of the exercise.

Looks like the gearing of OUE C-Reit will rise significantly as the share swop involves cash payment to H-Reit holders.
Watch out of another rights issue from C-Reit.
