Like Microsoft that issues its operating systems to the market first and then send updates thereafter.

The truth is no one can see things in all angles and come up with a solution that needs no finetuning.

Singapore makes temporary concession on used cars loans

ingapore’s central bank said on Friday it will temporarily lift loan restrictions on purchase of second-hand vehicles to help car dealers stuck with inventory bought at relatively high prices.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said the restrictions will be lifted for a period of 60 days and applied to cars that were part of dealers’ inventory prior to Feb 25 when measures to cool the market were introduced.

I was going to say something sarcastic before I stopped myself. Not everyone can appreciate the humour in it and it will not contribute to world peace.Big Grin

The next best thing to do is to share one of my favourite quotes, allegedly by John Keynes:

When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?

It is almost always easier to implement tighter policies first, and then loosen it THAN the other way round.

means that quality of govt risen. Listen to feedback AND act on it.

Although these used car dealers don't deserve the break coz they made tons of money before restrictions and got greedy hoarding the cars.

Some even deserve to be jailed - referring to ST news today about used-car trader Galaxy Carz run road with customer money.
