SGX-listed companies that have economic moats

One of the problem in SG context while applying value investing is that it is very hard to find a company that got economic moat, any one could share about the view on this?

Economic moat.Example, a strong brand name. There are a number of Singapore listed companies with a strong brand.

What about Metro Holdings.
Prime properties, brand loyalty.
Would WB buy Metro holdings. Any views.

Metro Holdings is trading below book value. As it has significant profit from its China properties, I have not analysed its brand strength in China. Any one can enlighten me?

For me I am looking at Sembcorp as they have diversified their business into international market like china and also oil rig business

You are talking about semcorp Marine or Semcorp Industries.

What About Old Chang Kee. as an economic Moat. lon queues & in F&B business. witj inc population the revenues are sure to go up.

example are telcos, 3 of them only.. all same major shareholder which is garmen
they give lousy service, consumers also no choice

Dairy Farm - I think even if Singapore govt collapse, u will still need to go to their supermarket

Supermarkets are selling daily necessities. Another example is Sheng Siong.
These counters are defensive by nature.
