A car crashed into the glass doors of a Fragrance Hotel in Balestier early this morning.

Two witnesses on the scene told local citizen journalism website Stomp that the car had crossed over a road divider before crashing into the hotel.

One of the witnesses who identified herself as Rachael claimed that the car had crossed over the divider and had hit a lamp post before smashing into the hotel.

A check with police revealed that they had received a call at about 1.25am informing them about the accident.

The police said that initial investigations revealed that the car was travelling along Balestier road towards Lavender Road when it mounted the centre divider and uprooted a lamp post before crashing into the glass doors.

The police added that no one was injured and that the driver of the car had fled the scene after the accident.
