I thought its good to start an anchor topic on discussion on different kind of concession based company such a HPH, K-green and other companies who at one moment lease or lease assets from others.

Of particular interest for me is HPH trust. The concession on average end in 2047 or 37 years later. HPH should amortize their concession to zero.

But what happens at the end of that period. I suppose the realistic thing is for the government to take back the port or to let HPH continue to operate. What is the value of the assets to HPH then?

HPH's investor relations indicates that the assets on the port is > 0 and those will not be return to the government. How does that work out?

In 1999 HPH renewed the concession for another 50 years at no cost.
