My EQ is nonexistent. Not only do I find her comments nothing wrong logically, but I find it emotionally acceptable. However knowing Singaporeans cynicism, I knew it will be hot topic ( hey, maybe there is hope for me afterall ! ).

you have already stated your own bias. Rolleyes

For me, i was taught this Chinese Saying: "天 下 乌 鸦 一 班 黑。" by someone schooled more in Chinese. i tend to agree or believe what he taught me. Don't believe? Check and look around the world's "乌 鸦". It does not matter BRIC or USA or Euro. All are of the same colour. Black that is. Do they live like the ordinary folks? Taking crowded buses, MRTs,.......... NO? YES? And this will go on and on. We are lucky if we have a choice every five years. Well we have make our choice for the next 5 years, haven't we? What ever we say now is actually crying over spilt milk. Nevertheless, we have to say something whenever our senses/intelligence are insulted. Luckily we still have this previlege to let go our frustration. At least in the Internet world if not publicly. Or most of us will.....????---spin out to outer space.....

...and I thought it is because of my EQ !..Rats !...Oh, I have other bias as well. I believe if Tin Pei Lin were to be quoted in the press tomorrow, it will be a hot topic as well. Wanna wager a bet ?

I believe it is the government has the long-term interest of Singapore at heart because they have to face elections every 5 years. It is in their long-term interest to do. On this, the interests are aligned.
A lot of the things they are doing are very long term that will bear fruit not in the next 5 years, but another 2 or 3 5-years. Some will fail and some will fail sensationally. Facing election is no doubt one of the things that govern their actions, but it does not appear to be a major factor to me. But that is likely to change in coming years.

No derogatory personal remarks. Would you like me to start off with your EQ being hopelessly retarded, then spend the bulk of the message proving it? I said there was nothing wrong with your EQ because I don't know what poor EQ has to do with interpreting her logic. Now, I realize what you mean by poor EQ from your reply(no offense, that's what you wrote) as in not understanding why people are frustrated with her comments.

No it is not an insult since I did not use the term "two-headed snake". It is an observation. I did not qualify my acceptance of her comments to mere logic, so I am puzzled that you think I am just refering to the logic in my initial post.

I not only has low EQ, I love people who are politically incorrect, as long as they make sense. One of my favourites is Charlie Munger.

"I love people who are politically incorrect, as long as they make sense."

Hi,
pardon me, my education level is "ITE"(Some people called it "It's The End").
So can you elaborate what you have said above. i believe i may be one of the people who may not even make sense at times. It's O. K. Learning is my lifetime "occupation". Though some people like to think "It's The End" for people like us.

YooHoo... Where are the mods?? I think it's time to lock this thread (ie. disable any more future posts here).

Altho' entertaining to read on a wet, rainy Saturday, I'm after all here to read more about opinions/analysis on stocks rather than all the different interpretations of EQs.

I for one would hate to see this site degenerate into the sorry state of the now defunct Wallstraits forum. Rolleyes
