The Monex Group includes Monex(Japan) , Monex Securities (Australia) , Tradestation Group Inc ( US? ) and Monex Boom Securities HK Ltd ( Hong Kong ) and offers 12 market trading in one account.

If you can settle your purchase in one currency , are you getting a fair fx rate ?

Are these multi-market online brokers as safe as local brokers in their own market , in the event of broker failure ?
Can you recover your shares if the broker's computer system has been hacked ?

(16-06-2021, 10:24 PM)I don't recall exactly what FX rate I used to get on Monex but I believe the rates were far better than those offered by Philip and the other major Singaporean brokers. If you open an account in Hong Kong and you keep your money in cash, I believe you are covered by HK's deposit insurance scheme, see more info here: https://www.dps.org.hk/index_en.html#:~:text="What%20is%20the%20DPS%20Coverage,including%20both%20principal%20and%20interest.If you own shares outright, then you have full ownership of the shares. No need to worry about the broker going bankrupt. Plus Monex is a major corporation backed by the Japanese banking system. I don't know much about hacking, but I'm sure that transfers out of a brokerage account to a new unknown bank account would require proof of identification etc which is not easy to obtain. soros Wrote: The Monex Group includes Monex(Japan) , Monex Securities (Australia) , Tradestation Group Inc ( US? ) and Monex Boom Securities HK Ltd ( Hong Kong ) and offers 12 market trading in one account.
