IMHO their their sound card peaked with AWE32. Thereafter they became the audio standard and was basically feeding off the IP
Their next big thing was MP3 player but the delivery sucks and iPod took their cheese. It is actually already a miracle that Creative survived 20 years with their cheese not taken away until audio codec finally got integrated into the south bridge
