I disagree with the view that someone will purposely plan to lose their legs for money. What if you planned to lose your legs by falling onto the tracks and lost your life instead? Nobody can plan for such things. Would anybody agree to lose their legs for $5k compensation or even 5mil?
What would you do with the money? You can't go anywhere or do anything, simple pleasures like going for strolls or jogging you won't be able to do and you have to receive medical treatment for the rest of your life. Is it worth it?
