CIMB is the main buyer.

High of today 0.370.

Hmm. Wonder who could have bought quite a big share on it.
Insider buying? Angel
So who were you expecting?

It may also be someone buying through CIMB?

If you look at the time and sales, you will notice that 34 cents was cleared in almost one trade and the same for 34.5 cents within the next minute.

I hold most of my stock long term but I also trade regularly, I am very confident that CIMB is the main buyer, it cannot be wrong.

Just to add, there are only 154 lots done at 36.5 cents. I tested a few lots at 36.5 cents, and it was CIMB, so cannot be wrong.

Going through KWC annual reports, CIMB appeared in top 20 only in 2013 report. They hold 4.858mil shares. They released an analyst report in 27 July 2012 on the sale of the two Thais assoc. Looking at Price/Vol action in 2012, they probably bought in the range of 15cts-20cts. I don't recall seeing any analyst report from CIMB on KingWan since. Now let see if CIMB release one soon.

Recently, the house that has been promoting KWC aggressively is OSK. They did not appear in the top 20 in 2013 AR. They should appear in the 2014 AR. Lets see.

Lets see the holding of the other houses.
Kim Eng - 17mil shares
UOBKH - 3.9mil shares
OCBC - 3.8mil shares
Phillips - 2.9mil shares

Interesting I didn't come across any analyst reports from KE.

Somehow i don't think the brokerage houses own the shares.
I do think they are nominee accounts to which the persons owning the shares pledge to these brokerages (deemed interests)
I may be wrong too.

I think it will be great if buddies who know about this can clarify. I have always assumed that those with "(nominees)" are own by others through the house. Those without it are own by the house.

Kw probably uses KE as main broker and custody service.. That also explain why Kaset thai deal was given to KE. Anyhow I dont see this counter is "operated".. if you find good value in it. Just buy and hold and wait for value to be extracted. Big Grin

It good to buy and hold and wait for value to be extracted but it is also good to be aware of who is buying and who is selling to help you to decide to add more or to reduce. Again, just now, I sold some at 36 cents and bought back at 35.5 cents. I guess I know what to do now and will continue to monitor.

Those who utilize leverage from the house will have to pledge their shares to the house. The shares will show up in the AR under the brokerage houses, but in reality, they are owned by the various individuals so you wont know exactly who owns what.
There are instances when the brokerage houses owns some shares directly but there's no distinction.
I personally own 1 million shares in KW, but they are pledged under Hong Leong Finance.
