The question is not whether they can afford to acquire land while giving a big payout.......Looking at their cashflow, they can comfortably do it....

the question is whether lee wants to do it.....

and to do a big acquisition at this point of time.....it is really backside itchy......so I believe they would be very careful esp with EC now since they were quite interested in that segment a year ago(esp so after Waterwoods)

just to add......

Been two months.....

More if more units of Waterwoods are sold). This will bring down net debt to equity to 0.6. They have another $100m trade receivables from The Laurels to be collected within a year.....This will bring cash to around $290m with short term debt of $120m. Long term debt is link to TOP of their Robin and Waterwoods so I doubt they will try to pare it down. As more units of Waterwoods are sold and construction progress and with coming launch of Robin, there should be more cash inflow......

If management tries to maintain a net debt to equity of 1.1 then right now they simply have too much cash than they need.....

A commendable result.

Borrowed a term from greengiraffee : a wrong term investor.

Hi kbl, many thanks for sharing with us the reply from Sing Holdings. Based on her reply, return to shareholders is the least priority after business sustainability and growth. Hence, I interpret that she said don't expect big dividend in the coming financial year Sad Sad

small-mid cap property developers need to keep capital to play in the next market cycle. pay out generous dividends then where to find capital to land bank. unless got windfall profits like Ho Bee....

What will be the dividend for FY2011 versus 0.75 cents for FY2010?

Orchard Parade Holding(OPH) and hiap Hoe were highlighted as 2 of the stocks likely to have better earning compared to
last year. Somehow Sing Holding is neglected!!

vested.

dividend probably won't be much. most cash still locked in project account, which can't be used to pay dividend if I am not wrong.

pay attention to its "dividend paid to non-controlling interest" in cash flow statement, if that shoots up, means money out of project account can be used for dividend.

Good afternoon every1.

The Laurels obtained TOP in Sep'13 meaning cash are free to use from the *locked in project account*. As mentioned by CY09 san, a 10cts special dividend is only 40m of cash.
